Job Requirements
- Professional degree in aviation planning, architecture, engineering or related field
- 15+ years of experience in aviation field with recent terminal planning assignments
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Word, Excel and other graphics programs
- Ability to travel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented and highly motivated
- Must work in-office
Job Qualifications
- Professional degree in aviation planning, architecture, engineering or related field
- 15+ years of experience in the aviation field with recent terminal planning assignments
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and graphics-related programs
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp or other 3D modeling software is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain client and consultant relationships
- Team-oriented and highly motivated
- Ability to travel as required
- Comfortable working in collaborative environments to ensure project deliverables
Job Duties
- Knowledge of current aviation industry regulations pertaining to airport terminal planning
- Familiarity with terminal, landside and airside components and recent experience in terminal facility planning design, phasing and implementation projects
- Coordinate and monitor production, schedules and budgets for assigned projects and staff to ensure high-quality product delivery on time and on budget
- Develop, review and oversee project plans and assignments by identifying and managing staff required to accomplish tasks
- Assist Aviation Planning Director with problem definition and viable solution recommendations
- Provide technical leadership and written recommendations on Aviation planning studies
- Develop conceptual layouts, exhibits, presentations and reports related to airport master plans, feasibility studies and project documentation
- Support aviation planning studies in diverse geographic and cultural environments
- Research existing and future trends in aviation industry
- Compile and analyze data for feasibility studies, environmental assessments, airport alternative analyses and other planning documents
- Execute project directives, outlines, projections, schedules and strategies
- Produce comprehensive project documentation
- Coordinate and integrate architectural and consultant documents
- Develop credibility as a technical professional and oversee consultant relationships
- Lead project team in technical and design discussions and resolve project challenges
- Share knowledge of construction methods, timelines, new methodologies, codes and products
- Seek progressively responsible assignments involving terminal planning, facility requirements analysis, conceptual design, and systems integration including baggage handling and aircraft parking layouts
