Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Major in Nutritional Sciences and/or Business Management preferred
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Five years of administrative experience in Food Services, preferably in a health care facility
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Serv Safe certification required
  • Computer experience required

Job Duties

  • Assigning work to and supervising assistant managers, supervisors and food service workers
  • Establishing and maintaining policies, standards, and programs for optimal, cost-effective patient and retail food service
  • Monitoring patient and retail services for performance, safety, sanitation and efficiency
  • Maintaining computerized systems
  • Developing annual budgets and meeting budget targets
  • Hiring and orienting staff
  • Interacting with hospital management and professional staff
  • Maintaining professional competency and skills
