Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of experience in airline industry or management role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong coaching and counseling capabilities
  • Experience collaborating effectively across multiple departments
  • Ability to lead and motivate large teams
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and compliance
  • Knowledge of APFA work rules preferred
  • Experience in Flight Service department preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Previous airline experience preferred
  • Experience working with Flight Service department preferred
  • Knowledge of APFA work rules preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Effective collaboration across departments such as HR, Flight, Customer Service, and Crew Resources
  • Proven ability to lead and engage large teams
  • Inspirational leadership and motivational skills

Job Duties

  • Lead the execution of initial qualification training and continuing qualification programs for inflight personnel
  • Use performance data to establish strategic goals and key metrics while driving continuous improvement
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA for training compliance and delivery as well as equipment approvals
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, development, promotion, and separation of instructor staff including managers and flight attendants
  • Evaluate training program quality and recommend improvements to inflight program development
  • Manage the FS Training Mentor Program ensuring compliance with FAA standards
  • Collaborate with internal departments for workforce forecasting and scheduling
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, Operations, Program Development, and external vendors to meet business objectives
  • Liaise with APFA and FAA regarding training delivery, compliance, and collective bargaining agreement adherence
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as required
