Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in banquet or event management in a hospitality setting
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development and guest service
  • Proficiency in catering/event management software
  • Exceptional planning, organization, and time-management skills
  • Working knowledge of banquet equipment, event setup logistics, and hospitality best practices
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in catering/event management software (experience with Amadeus Sales & Catering preferred)
  • Exceptional planning, organization, and time-management skills
  • Working knowledge of banquet equipment, event setup logistics, and hospitality best practices
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Lead, coach, and support the banquet management team, supervisors, and staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service and smooth event execution
  • Collaborate with the conference services and culinary teams to meet event specifications outlined in banquet event orders (BEOs)
  • Cultivate a positive, respectful team culture by modeling strong communication and fostering accountability
  • Maintain high service standards by providing regular feedback, training, and development opportunities for team members
  • Respond to guest needs and special requests with professionalism and efficiency
  • Monitor departmental performance and implement strategies to improve productivity and guest satisfaction
  • Ensure banquet setup and execution meet the highest standards - from room layout and table settings to food timing and guest service
  • Oversee staffing needs, scheduling, and documentation for banquet operations
  • Manage and maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment
  • Stay informed on competitor offerings to keep Snowbird positioned as a top-tier destination for events and conferences
