Job Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance coverage for travel between clinics
- Reliable vehicle to support regional coverage
- Availability Monday through Friday from 8 am to 7 pm with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple clinic locations
- Successful completion of a motor vehicle record check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certifications required for specimen collection if applicable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Prior patient experience such as specimen collection, phlebotomist, medical assistant, nurse’s aide, healthcare technician, or nursing student is a plus
- Knowledge of specimen collection techniques and procedures
- Understanding of infection prevention and biohazard safety measures
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new technology skills
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and internal clients
- Ability to maintain accurate files and records
- Commitment to compliance and attention to detail
Job Duties
- Facilitates the collection, processing, and shipping of laboratory specimens
- Accurate data collection and data entry related to laboratory orders and testing
- Adheres to healthcare regulations and organizational policies
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of client and work areas
- Orders and maintains inventory of supplies
- Performs direct observation during specimen collection if required
- Provides excellent customer service and compassion when interacting with clients and staff
