This role is designed to support the Senior Assistant Director of On-Campus Recruitment in coordinating and executing a wide range of both on-campus and virtual events. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or graduation equivalent
  • Minimum three years of related event coordination experience
  • Must be at least 21 years old due to alcohol service at some events
  • Additional education may substitute for experience per JHU equivalency formula

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of related experience coordinating events, preferably in higher education
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage complex relationships in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with CRM and project management software preferred
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel for events

Job Duties

  • Creation and maintenance of internal communications and tracking mechanisms for event information collection
  • Coordinating virtual events with the Director of Recruitment and Senior Assistant Director
  • Managing virtual programs for prospective and admitted students, including outreach populations
  • Adding events in SLATE, creating Zoom links, developing event guides and slide shows
  • Establishing Zoom best practices, calendars, and training for staff and students
  • Collaborating with teams to program for families, school counselors, educators, and others
  • Coordinating Access Advisory Board events including participant travel
  • Organizing travel for prospective and admitted students and families
  • Serving as manager-on-call for select events
  • Cross-training with the visitor center team to support phones, desk, and daily events
  • Managing inboxes for relevant programs
