Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume full-service restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a scratch kitchen environment
- Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain a calm focused presence
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods (10-12-hour shifts)
- Able to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be able to bend stoop and lift up to 25 lbs
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to manage all aspects of kitchen operations including prep execution inventory and cleanliness
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to company specifications in taste appearance and portioning
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety cleanliness and sanitation
- Train supervise and mentor kitchen staff foster a culture of teamwork and accountability
- Assist in managing food and labor costs to achieve company goals
- Support in scheduling and managing daily kitchen workflow especially during peak service hours
- Uphold the core culinary traditions and standards that define Midwood Smokehouse while remaining open to innovation
