Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior kitchen or culinary experience
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques

Job Qualifications

  • proven experience as a sous chef or relevant role
  • strong culinary skills and creativity
  • ability to manage a team and work collaboratively
  • knowledge of budgeting and cost management
  • understanding of food safety regulations
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred

Job Duties

  • assist executive chef when executive chef is present and act on behalf of executive chef when executive chef is absent in organizing training and employee management
  • assist executive chef to prepare necessary data for budget and project annual food labor and other costs and monitor actual financial results and take corrective action to assure financial goals are met
  • regularly create unique dishes and menu items for daily features and specialty events and consult with guests to meet dietary restrictions and palate preferences
