Job Requirements

- Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of job-specific work experience

- Food handler permit
- Ability to read and write effectively

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Food handler permit required
- Ability to read and write effectively
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work all kitchen stations including grill, saute, hot apps, pantry, and pastry
- Ability to delegate tasks and follow up effectively
- Understanding of recipes
- Above average knowledge of product identification and quality control
- Understand measurements in metric and English standards
- Above average knife skills and cooking methods
- Ability to multitask during shift
- Strong interpersonal skills including listening, communication, conflict management, and dispute resolution
- Experience in restaurants with 200 plus seats
- Preferred experience in hotel and resort
- Prior management and training experience required
- Strong leadership and hard decision-making skills
- Ability to exercise judgment within policy guidelines without supervisory approval
- Problem solving and initiation of activities within job description
- Strong understanding of Snowbird operations
- Computer knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to assist in daily ordering of product

Job Duties
- Report to work on time and in proper uniform
- Ensure standards of appearance and sanitation are maintained daily
- Maintain a good and safe working environment
- Ensure all mise en place is done properly per recipe or instructions daily
- Take fast and appropriate action to solve problems and handle guest issues professionally
- Handle employee issues fairly and quickly with assistance from Executive Chef or Dining Room Manager
- Maintain clear communication between Chef, Lead Cook, and kitchen staff
- Be responsible for maintaining kitchen equipment properly
- Reward and discipline kitchen staff as merited by performance and provide ongoing training
- Assure kitchen operates within budget guidelines of food cost, labor cost, and other operational costs including waste control
- Assist in daily record keeping including ordering, payroll, daily reports, and sales
- Assist in menu design
- Travel occasionally to/from resort
- Engage in occasional contact with guests
- Maintain direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management, and other departments
- Demonstrate ability to interact pleasantly with guests and employees and maintain good working relationships
- Provide direct and continuous supervision/management in absence of Executive Chef
