Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong background in fine dining, catering, or banquet service is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and training
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for food handling
- Proficient in inventory control and kitchen management techniques
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is an asset but not required
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff
- Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Oversee inventory management and control, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste
- Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and development
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team atmosphere
- Manage shift schedules and delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle catering orders and special event preparations as needed
- Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain consistency in dining experiences
