Job Requirements
- Two years of previous cooking experience
- One year of previous supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday with some rotating weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow approved cooking recipes and food safety standards
- Ability to supervise and manage food service associates
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to work in a healthcare food service environment

- Experience supervising hourly food service associates
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction
- Ability to manage inventory and monitor product consumption and waste
- Leadership and training skills
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary actions
- Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
- Cleans workstations thoroughly before leaving area
- Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Tracks product production, consumption, and waste
- Informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
