Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years of experience as Sous Chef
- Ability to work full time with rotating schedule including every other weekend
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
- Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace
Job Qualifications
- At least five years of Sous Chef experience
- Experience in supervising and training kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to manage kitchen operations in absence of Executive Chef
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Capability to handle high-pressure kitchen environments
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and every other weekend
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensure all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and participating in reviews
- Store food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner and relay relevant information directly to supervisor
