Job Requirements
- Comprehend both verbal and written food recipes production orders cooking instructions and techniques
- Background in banquet or catering production preferred
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to equipment use and personal hygiene
- Positive can-do attitude
- Ability to receive unpack unwrap date rotate and stow deliveries
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move food food containers and other non-food items up to own height
- Adhere to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in banquet or catering production preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Prior experience in kitchen supervision or leadership roles
Job Duties
- Produce prepare and cook foods including soups sauces salads entrees catering and other items as directed by the Chef Manager
- Station set-up prior to service with appropriate equipment and food determined by the supervisor
- Assist management in purchasing inventory control and training
- Maintain a clean and safe work area following health safety and food handling regulations
- Provide exemplary customer service in a courteous and helpful manner
- Supervise aspects of kitchen staff and production as assigned
- Support unit management in daily food production and service operations
