Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a supervisory culinary role
  • strong leadership abilities
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work onsite full-time
  • flexibility to work varied shifts
  • adherence to food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Experience supervising multiple employees
  • strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • excellent attention to detail and service knowledge
  • culinary arts degree or related advanced credential preferred
  • food handler's certification preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to manage kitchen operations effectively

Job Duties

  • Providing hands-on supervision and oversight for the preparation, cooking, and portioning of meals following company recipes based on daily needs and contractual obligations
  • ensuring all meals meet standards for quality
  • assisting unit leader with administrative tasks as needed
  • maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • managing inventory and ordering supplies
  • training and mentoring kitchen staff
  • collaborating with healthcare personnel to meet dietary requirements
