Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A.O.S. degree or culinary certificate preferred
  • minimum of 2 years culinary/kitchen management experience
  • strong leadership skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • proven ability to manage food costs and inventory
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
  • catering experience a plus
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience
  • institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • experienced with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, e-mail, and internet
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable
  • willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities

Job Duties

  • Assist Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly associates
  • develop daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment
  • collaborate with Executive Chef/chef on ordering and inventory management
