Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A.O.S. degree or culinary certificate preferred
- minimum of 2 years culinary/kitchen management experience
- strong leadership skills
- knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- proven ability to manage food costs and inventory
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
- some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
- catering experience a plus
- high volume, complex foodservice operations experience
- institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- experienced with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, e-mail, and internet
- ServSafe certified highly desirable
- willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities
Job Duties
- Assist Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- assist Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- produce and execute catering events
- roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- supervise hourly associates
- develop daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment
- collaborate with Executive Chef/chef on ordering and inventory management
