  • Demonstrated experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in high-volume banquet or catering settings
  • Culinary degree or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Expertise in culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain effective under pressure
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to outstanding guest experiences
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • Manual dexterity for precise operation of kitchen equipment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Ensure all dishes consistently meet high standards of quality and presentation
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal, innovative menus that cater to client preferences and dietary needs
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, providing training and mentorship to maintain high performance
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and clear communication
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure timely, efficient food preparation
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to keep ingredients and supplies stocked
  • Maintain rigorous food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
  • Conduct quality control, tasting, and evaluating dishes to ensure they meet client expectations
  • Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless coordination of culinary elements for all events
