Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in culinary or food and beverage or related area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in culinary arts or related major
  • 2 years experience in culinary or food and beverage
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work full time
  • Must be non-remote
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Ability to handle food production demands
  • Experience with labor management systems

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist in developing new culinary applications, ideas, and products
  • Create decorative food displays and determine food presentation
  • Support supervision of kitchen shift operations and ensure policy compliance
  • Inform purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • Perform duties of kitchen managers and associates as necessary
  • Estimate daily production needs and communicate with kitchen staff
  • Assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations
  • Recognize superior quality products and presentations
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Follow proper food handling and temperature guidelines
  • Operate and maintain department equipment
  • Prepare and cook foods regularly and for special functions
  • Check quality of raw and cooked food products
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills for leadership
  • Encourage mutual trust and cooperation among team members
  • Ensure associates understand kitchen goals and expectations
