Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in culinary industry
  • Degree in Culinarian Arts preferred
  • Private club experience preferred
  • Proven cooking experience including line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand or walk for duration of shift

  • Excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Skilled in professional cooking, knife handling, kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Private club experience preferred
  • Degree in Culinarian Arts preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in culinary industry

Job Duties

  • Supervise culinary employees
  • Monitor food and labor costs
  • Schedule culinary staff and assign weekly work schedules
  • Order and manage inventory
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and sanitation
  • Communicate concerns related to food, pricing, production, equipment, and personnel
  • Oversee food preparation according to Chef's specifications
  • Conduct monthly inventory and cost control measures
  • Assume kitchen leadership in absence of Executive Chef
  • Assist with employee supervision, coaching, evaluation, promotion, and training
  • Support Executive Chef with sanitation, safety, menu planning, and production
  • Lead by example to promote teamwork and morale
  • Collaborate with dining service personnel and maintain communication with service managers
  • Expedite and cook food orders during peak service hours
  • Enforce all club rules and policies
  • Adhere to operating budgets
  • Ensure high-quality food for all club dining occasions
  • Embrace feedback from members and staff
  • Conduct regular health code compliance inspections
  • Provide daily prep and cleaning lists
  • Attend weekly Food and Beverage meetings
