Job Requirements

  • minimum of 1 to 3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue
  • experience preparing catered events and presenting foods for special events is desirable
  • relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • current ServSafe certification

Job Duties

  • adhere to the company's mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, as well as operating cash flow related to food operations
  • review monthly profit and loss statements and make necessary adjustments
  • plan, supervise, and execute all banquet functions in collaboration with operations and sales staff when kitchen manager or chef is absent
  • estimate food consumption and make purchases according to specified food program
  • schedule staff efficiently to accommodate business volume shifts
  • partner with kitchen manager or general manager to resolve disciplinary issues and foster teamwork
  • ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
  • supervise preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food
  • assist with kitchen equipment maintenance and conduct sanitation audits to comply with local Department of Health regulations
  • ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained at all times
  • report critical issues to general manager promptly
