Job Requirements

  • education equivalent to A.S. degree or relevant experience
  • ability to work approximately 50 hours per week including weekends
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office suite
  • flexible and entrepreneurial mindset
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • ability to supervise kitchen staff
  • experience in catering and high volume foodservice
  • excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience a plus
  • experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • institutional and batch cooking experience helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and Internet
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise kitchen staff and hourly associates
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
