Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience in a culinary or kitchen management role
  • willingness to work approximately 50 hours per week including weekends
  • ability to work flexible schedules including Monday through Sunday
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to comply with company policies and participate in client satisfaction programs
  • physical ability to perform kitchen duties including standing for long periods
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • catering experience a plus
  • experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations highly desirable
  • knowledge of institutional and batch cooking helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email and the internet
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable
  • ability to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly kitchen staff and provide training and guidance
  • ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
  • maintain inventory and assist with ordering supplies
