Job Requirements
- Must be at least high school graduate or equivalent
- Serve Safe certification required
- Minimum of five years experience in high-quality kitchen environments or graduation from culinary program
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Physical capability to bend, reach, climb, push, pull, stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions
- Must support sustainable transportation initiatives
- Flexible with work schedule dependent on guest volume and weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Serve Safe certified
- Graduation from a two-year accredited culinary program or five years of experience in high-quality kitchen environments
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to manage kitchen operations independently
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience with food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Owns proper culinary tools
- Maintains temperature logs, dating and End Of Month inventory process
- Manages outlet of food and beverage operation independently
- Follows prep sheets accurately and with urgency
- Prepares food to specifications of Food & Beverage Manager
- Reads, understands, and follows recipes and standards
- Supervises lower-level cooks on food handling, rotation, sanitation, labeling, and storage maintenance
- Advises upper management of anticipated problems
- Assists in menu development, ordering food, creating and following prep, cleaning and closing lists
- Sets example by following company safety policies and procedures
- Supports corporate responsibility commitments for environmental and sustainable transportation
- Works weekends and holidays as required by resort operations
