Job Requirements

  • Must have A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • demonstrated culinary or kitchen management experience
  • experience in catering and high volume foodservice operations
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • proficiency in computer applications
  • must be willing to engage in client satisfaction activities
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • catering experience is a plus
  • experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable
  • knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • oversee the preparation and cooking of various cuisines
  • develop daily menus and their presentation
  • collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain quality and sanitation standards
