Job Requirements
- Must have A.S. degree or equivalent experience
- demonstrated culinary or kitchen management experience
- experience in catering and high volume foodservice operations
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- proficiency in computer applications
- must be willing to engage in client satisfaction activities
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs
Job Qualifications
- A.S. degree or equivalent experience
- some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
- catering experience is a plus
- experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable
- knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet
- ServSafe certification is highly desirable
- willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
- assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- produce and execute catering events
- roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- oversee the preparation and cooking of various cuisines
- develop daily menus and their presentation
- collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain quality and sanitation standards
