Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation methods, and culinary trends
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Leadership and team-building abilities to train, guide, and inspire staff
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills
- In-depth understanding of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations
- Oversee daily kitchen activities, ensuring food quality, consistency, and timely preparation
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain operational standards and efficiency
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and execute new recipes and creative culinary concepts
- Monitor food inventory levels and coordinate ordering to ensure availability without overstocking
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and health department regulations
- Manage kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of workstations
- Step into the role of Executive Chef when they are unavailable, maintaining seamless kitchen management
