Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- One to two years of employment in a related role
- Advanced knowledge of culinary principles and food management
- Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, standing, and mobility tasks
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
- Strong comprehension and literacy skills to manage records, analyze budgets and handle special requests
- Commitment to maintaining safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Experience of one to two years in a related position
- Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession including food and beverage management
- Ability to manage people and complex operational problems
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Capability to work in physically demanding environment
Job Duties
- Manage the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the hotel's restaurant(s) and room service to ensure a quality, consistent product
- Manage human resources in the production and preparation areas including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, developing, empowering, coaching and counseling staff
- Schedule and manage the maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure a safe, healthy work environment
- Monitor, analyze and control all labor and food costs and prepare appropriate reports and schedules to meet budgets
- Promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and related expenses
