Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One to two years of employment in a related role
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary principles and food management
  • Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, standing, and mobility tasks
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
  • Strong comprehension and literacy skills to manage records, analyze budgets and handle special requests
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Experience of one to two years in a related position
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession including food and beverage management
  • Ability to manage people and complex operational problems
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Capability to work in physically demanding environment

Job Duties

  • Manage the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the hotel's restaurant(s) and room service to ensure a quality, consistent product
  • Manage human resources in the production and preparation areas including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, developing, empowering, coaching and counseling staff
  • Schedule and manage the maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure a safe, healthy work environment
  • Monitor, analyze and control all labor and food costs and prepare appropriate reports and schedules to meet budgets
  • Promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and related expenses
