Job Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as line or prep cook
- Some experience in resorts or hotels and free-standing restaurants
- Culinary school graduate or certified apprenticeship program preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Proven experience in higher volume or banquet kitchens
- Ability to work under stressful situations and busy periods
- Must be a team player and able to adapt to frequent activity changes
- Able to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physically able to perform tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds, standing for long periods, and working in extreme temperatures
- Frequent manual dexterity and repetitive motion required
- Comfortable working in limited spaces and on uneven surfaces
- Must be able to maintain safe work practices to prevent cuts, burns, and other hazards
Job Qualifications
- Culinary school graduate or completed certified apprenticeship program preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a line/prep cook required
- Sous chef experience preferred
- Experience in resorts, hotels, or free-standing restaurants
- Proven ability to work in high-volume kitchens or banquet settings
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills in English both oral and written
- Ability to remain calm and work under pressure
- Team player with a career-minded attitude
Job Duties
- Assist Executive Chef with menu creation and development
- Perform daily prep work maintaining par levels
- Lead one or two restaurant stations nightly
- Expedite kitchen orders as needed
- Organize walk-in storage and inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation following OSHA and state health regulations
- Communicate effectively with food and beverage management and collaborate with Catering and Events Manager
