Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with animals in a shelter, veterinary clinic, or similar setting preferred
- State certification if applying for CVT
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry 50 pounds
- Preferred knowledge of animal behavior, care, and welfare
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Required ability to comprehend technical and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry animals and supplies, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
- Proficient use of computer, email, internet and shelter specific software
- Must be able to make decisions for all animals while considering shelter and public safety

Job Duties
- Greet clients and their pets warmly and professionally
- Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
- Schedule surgeries for the public, staff, and rescue partners
- Support communication between clients and the treatment team to help the day stay on track
- Create and update animal records daily
- Enter veterinary notes from surgeries and appointments throughout the day
- Create invoices, process payments, and manage client transactions accurately
- Assist with various administrative tasks and general office upkeep
- Perform other duties as needed
