Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in project safety
  • Knowledge and experience working as safety personnel for NYC Transit projects
  • Reliable transportation required for travel to various sites as required
  • Safety training and certifications required
  • CHST or CSP is required
  • OSHA 30 required
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant safety requirements including OSHA, NYC DOB, NYC DEP, DOT, local, state and federal safety regulations
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role

Job Duties

  • Oversight of contractor safety operations on NYCT station rehabilitation projects
  • Candidate must be comfortable and motivated to work the day shift, night shift and weekend shifts when necessary
  • Typical hours of operation: 7am - 3:30pm
  • Conduct safety inspections at various project sites, develop and submit a report at the end of each inspection
  • Assist in developing and reviewing Health and Safety procedures and programs
  • Conduct safety related training
  • Provide compliance assistance to projects
  • Ensure all safety requirements of the Building Code and OSHA are being met
