Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- ability to stand or walk for entire shifts
- ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift 25 lbs regularly, occasionally 50 lbs
- ability to work in varying temperatures
- ability to work with fresh, dried, and processed products without allergic consequences
- ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- ability to interact with customers friendly and helpfully
- ability to work cooperatively with others
- ability to follow assigned schedules and attendance policies
- must be 18 or older to operate balers, hi-los, power jacks, and slicing machines

- previous bakery or food service experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- maintain department sanitation and QA standards
- clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- keep floor clear of debris and spills
- greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
- maintain and properly use all department equipment
- pack out product into display cases
- rotate product to ensure freshness
- ensure accurate signage for the department
- prepare trays to company's and customer's satisfaction
- perform all duties according to local, state, and federal regulations
- dress and groom according to company policy
- perform duties in accordance with QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves
- follow recipes to produce food products
- set up, operate and tend equipment
- prepare special order requests
- track sales on production logs
- take inventory and reorder supplies
- place reclamation properly
- lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise
- unload trucks and transport merchandise
- check prices and know item locations
- promote charitable sales
- stand for entire shifts
- receive deliveries
- assist other departments
- follow HAZCOM and safety standards
- handle damaged and spoiled products properly
- adhere to shrink guidelines
- maintain and report on equipment
- perform department training
- follow ShopRite service priorities
- maintain attendance and punctuality
- work overtime
- cooperate with others
- operate balers, hi-los, power jacks, and slicing machines if aged 18 or older
- perform other duties as assigned
