Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a customer service or dining environment preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
- proficiency with point-of-sale systems
- teamwork orientation
Job Qualifications
- Possess verbal and language skills to understand and communicate with guests
- have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- possess basic math skills
- operate a point-of-sale system
- ability to handle money
- be able to work in standing position for long periods up to 5 hours
- be able to safely lift and maneuver plates and supplies weighing up to 10 pounds
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests
- make guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
- inform guests of specials and feature items
- answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant services
- take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system
- deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
- run food orders from the pick-up window promptly
- perform side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned
- maintain clean service areas
- monitor and observe guest dining experience and ensure satisfaction
- respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
- pre-bus tables frequently
- prepare bill and present check to guests appropriately
- clean and reset tables, chairs, booths, and surrounding carpet
- assist fellow servers as situations arise
- thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
- be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation
