Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a customer service or dining environment preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
  • proficiency with point-of-sale systems
  • teamwork orientation

Job Qualifications

  • Possess verbal and language skills to understand and communicate with guests
  • have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
  • possess basic math skills
  • operate a point-of-sale system
  • ability to handle money
  • be able to work in standing position for long periods up to 5 hours
  • be able to safely lift and maneuver plates and supplies weighing up to 10 pounds

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests
  • make guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
  • inform guests of specials and feature items
  • answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant services
  • take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system
  • deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
  • run food orders from the pick-up window promptly
  • perform side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned
  • maintain clean service areas
  • monitor and observe guest dining experience and ensure satisfaction
  • respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
  • pre-bus tables frequently
  • prepare bill and present check to guests appropriately
  • clean and reset tables, chairs, booths, and surrounding carpet
  • assist fellow servers as situations arise
  • thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
  • be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation
