Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
Strong communication skills
Basic math competency
Physical ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry items up to 10 pounds
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems
Excellent interpersonal skills
Friendly and approachable demeanor

Job Qualifications

Possess verbal and language skills to understand and communicate with guests
Have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
Possess basic math skills
Ability to operate a point-of-sale system
Ability to handle money
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods
Ability to safely lift and maneuver plates of food and supplies weighing up to 10 pounds

Job Duties

Welcome and greet guests
Make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
Inform guests of specials and feature items
Answer questions about the food, beverages and restaurant functions
Take food and beverage orders and enter them in the point-of-sale system
Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
Run food orders from the pick-up window promptly regardless of the server who placed the order
Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned
Maintain clean service areas
Monitor and observe guests dining experience, ensure guests are satisfied with food and service
Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
Pre-bus tables frequently
Prepare and present bill at appropriate time
Clean and reset tables
Clean chairs, booths, and surrounding carpet
Assist fellow servers as needed
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager
