basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
basic math skills and ability to operate point-of-sale system
able to handle money
able to work standing for up to 5 hours
able to safely lift and maneuver plates and supplies up to 10 pounds

Job Duties

Welcome and greet guests
inform guests of specials and feature items
answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant services
take food and beverage orders and enter into point-of-sale system
deliver food and beverages promptly
run food orders from the pick-up window regardless of server
perform side work at start and end of shift
maintain clean service areas
monitor and observe guests' dining experience
respond to guest requests promptly
pre-bus tables frequently
prepare bill and present check
clean and reset tables
clean chairs, booths, and surrounding carpet
assist fellow servers as needed
thank guests and invite them to return
fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation as directed by manager or supervisor
