Job Requirements

  • Must provide a minimum of 2 years full-service restaurant experience or the equivalent
  • Must be willing and able to meet personal schedule requirements punctually
  • Be courteous, pleasant and good natured
  • Respond to the needs of difficult guests with patience and courtesy
  • Accept constructive criticism
  • Get along with co-workers
  • Provide a clean, well manicured persona that reflects the established image of the restaurant
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift
  • Safely transport food from kitchen to guest table over slick, uneven surface
  • Transport food to service a party of 4 in a single trip
  • Transport food and beverage items from source to any guest table continually throughout a shift
  • Safely move about in all areas of the restaurant
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of full-service restaurant experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of menu items and daily specials
  • Familiarity with wine list and liquor beverages
  • Understanding of restaurant accounting procedures
  • Ability to learn restaurant layout including table and station numbers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patience and courtesy in guest interactions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Take food and beverage orders from guests
  • Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally
  • Provide excellent customer service ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Maintain clean and organized service areas
  • Respond patiently and courteously to difficult guest situations
  • Assist with special events and catering as needed
  • Collaborate with co-workers to ensure smooth restaurant operations
