Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years full-service restaurant experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of menu items and specials
  • Familiarity with wine list, liquor list, and specialty drinks
  • Understanding of restaurant accounting procedures
  • Knowledge of restaurant layout including table and station numbers
  • Familiarity with restaurant orientation materials, rules, and philosophies
  • Ability to meet personal schedule requirements punctually
  • Courteous, pleasant, and good-natured attitude
  • Patience and courtesy in handling difficult guests
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism
  • Ability to work well with co-workers

Job Duties

  • Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests in the restaurant and cocktail area
  • Accurately account for and balance all sales and receipts
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen staff verbally and through the computer register system
  • Present and promote current specials and promotional materials to guests
  • Accurately record and account for all guest checks and items ordered
  • Accept payments and notify guests of any automatic gratuity
  • Perform duties calmly under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Communicate patiently, clearly, and courteously with guests
  • Follow procedures to ensure complete service according to operating standards
