Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality or senior living
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • ServeSafe certification
  • Local Health Department Food Handler Card
  • Ability to comply with health and safety regulations
  • Commitment to teamwork and service principles
  • Availability to pass pre-employment screenings including drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check
  • May require COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations if mandated
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
  • Take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
  • Bus and reset tables per company standards
  • Clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
  • Complete required side work as assigned
  • Attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items and provide general descriptions
  • Assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
  • Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
  • Practice safe food handling procedures at all times
  • Comply with occupational health and safety regulations and practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets, and Lockout Tagout
  • Perform additional dining services duties including washing and sanitizing dishes, sweeping work areas, preparing and serving light meals, and assisting with food preparation and plating
  • Participate actively as a member of a team
  • Demonstrate the Team Member Credo in daily interactions
  • Commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
  • Contribute to overall engagement programs
  • Attend regular meetings such as Town Hall and Department Team meetings
  • Maintain compliance with all required training
  • Perform other assigned duties.
