Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two to three years experience as a server
  • Fine dining experience preferred
  • Food handling certification where applicable
  • Certification in alcoholic awareness program where applicable
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork capability
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to resolve conflicts with customers and employees
  • Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol and 21 years old to pour
  • Able to work full time
  • Commitment to upholding state liquor regulations and safety standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times
  • Anticipate resident's needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
  • Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant operations, proper table set-up and dress code
  • Work closely with the Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to keep residents satisfied
  • Set tables in accordance to Coterie standards
  • Serve residents and guests meals and beverages as requested
  • Maintain knowledge of and abide by state liquor regulations
  • Adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices
  • Review daily menu with residents
  • Maintain knowledge of Toast and/or POS system
  • Take and deliver accurate meal orders
  • Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, and linens
  • Clean and reset tables immediately after guests depart
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Assist with special events and banquets
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling, and credit policies
  • Process payments through POS
  • Acquaint new residents with menu and dining options
  • Clean and sanitize dining room and equipment
  • Complete side duties as assigned
  • Review reservations and accommodate requests
  • Create a strong sense of teamwork among staff
  • Attend Pre-Meal stand up meetings
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned
