Job Requirements
- Two to three years of experience as a server
- Food handling certificate where applicable
- Certificate in alcoholic awareness program where applicable
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees
- Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages and 21 to pour

Job Duties
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times
- Anticipate resident’s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
- Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant(s) operations, proper table set-up and dress code of the restaurant(s)
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to keep residents satisfied with food and beverage programs
- Set tables in accordance to Coterie standards
- Serve residents and guests meals and beverages as requested
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving
- Adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices
- Review daily menu with residents
- Maintain complete knowledge of Toast and/or POS system as well as manual systems
- Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests
- Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, linen from the dining room as needed
- Clean and reset tables immediately after resident and guests depart
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices (when applicable), preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size and method of presentation
- Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
- Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures
- Process payments through the POS
- When applicable, acquaint new residents with menus, seating, and dining options and hours
- Clean and sanitize carpet, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room
- Complete side duties as assigned: cleanliness, quality and amount of all restaurant stock and supplies using checklist

- Review reservations and accommodate requests and exceed expectations for pre-assigned tables as necessary
- Create a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation among all staff
- Attend Pre-Meal stand up held for all dining and kitchen staff
- May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
