Job Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages and 21 to pour
two to three years of server experience
food handling certificate where applicable
certificate in alcoholic awareness program where applicable
basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
strong communication and teamwork skills
strong organization and time management skills
ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees

Job Duties

Provide a high level of customer service at all times
anticipate resident's needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
maintain complete knowledge of restaurant operations, proper table set-up and dress code
work closely with the Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to keep residents satisfied with food and beverage programs
set tables in accordance with Coterie standards
serve residents and guests meals and beverages as requested
maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations
adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices
review daily menu with residents
maintain complete knowledge of Toast and/or POS system as well as manual systems
take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests
remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, linen from the dining room as needed
clean and reset tables immediately after resident and guests depart
maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards
assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures
process payments through the POS
acquaint new residents with menus, seating, and dining options and hours
clean and sanitize carpet, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room
complete side duties as assigned
review reservations and accommodate requests
create a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation among all staff
attend Pre-Meal stand up for dining and kitchen staff
perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
