Job Description

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous serving experience helpful but not required
- Ability to provide friendly and individualized guest service
- Strong communication skills
- Capacity to stand for up to five hours per shift
- Physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Positive, outgoing personality
- Strong verbal and language skills
- Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures
- Basic math skills and ability to operate point-of-sale system
- Ability to handle money accurately
- Ability to work in standing position for long periods
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver items up to 10 lbs
- Willingness to fill in as needed to support restaurant operations
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests
- Make guests feel comfortable and attended to
- Inform guests of specials and feature items
- Answer guest questions about food, beverages and restaurant services
- Take and enter food and beverage orders in point-of-sale system
- Deliver food and beverages promptly
- Run food orders from pick-up window regardless of server
- Perform side work at start and end of shift
- Maintain clean service areas
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience
- Ensure guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests
- Pre-bus tables
- Prepare bills and present checks
- Clean and reset tables promptly
- Clean chairs, booths, and carpet
- Assist fellow servers as needed
- Thank guests and invite them to return
