Job Requirements

  • Education to associates degree level or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
  • minimum of 5 years’ experience in business aviation maintenance and avionics
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and business applications
  • knowledge of FAA regulations and industry standards
  • strong troubleshooting and technical skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • commitment to ongoing technical training
  • understanding of avionics, electrical, and computer systems

Job Qualifications

  • Associates degree required
  • bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of business aviation maintenance and avionics experience on large cabin business aircraft
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required
  • Inspection Authorization preferred
  • NCATT AET certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspections, engine runs and taxi operations that conform to company standards, regulations, and industry best practices
  • availability to work nights, weekends, or flexible hours as determined by flight schedule (24/7 operation)
  • optimize aircraft dispatch reliability and operational availability during international travel
  • act as passenger service provider and safety coordinator including training in evacuation, medical aid, passenger service, and food handling
  • ensure cabin configuration and management functions comply with departmental policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
  • demonstrate proficiency in using onboard passenger service equipment such as DVD player, SatCom, Aircell, BBML, and Airshow
  • oversee contract maintenance facility work and documentation compliance with FAA and AbbVie requirements
  • actively participate in Department Safety Management System (SMS) and involvement in bi-annual IS-BAO certification
  • assist in maintaining spare parts inventory including ordering, shipping, and receiving
  • troubleshoot complex technical issues in time-sensitive situations
  • maintain thorough understanding of avionics, electrical, and computer systems
  • provide professional demeanor and excellent customer service with effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • use technology and computer applications including Microsoft Office and CMP/AVTRAK
  • pursue ongoing technical training and stay updated through conferences and seminars
