Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- 21+ years of age for armed roles
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- be subject to background investigation according to federal, state, and local laws
- pass drug screening as permitted by law
- comply with state and local licensing requirements when applicable
- hold a valid driver's license for driving positions only
Job Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- access control and badge experience is preferred
- possession of guard card or license is preferred
- ability to respond to incidents calmly and professionally
- good communication skills
- basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities within a retail environment
- respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, supporting store staff with de-escalation and customer concerns
- conduct regular and random patrols of sales floor areas, stock areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to deter unwanted activity
- monitor for unusual activity such as shoplifting indicators, disorderly conduct, and unauthorized access
- report observations according to site procedures
- complete required reports and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and store management regarding incidents and policy concerns
