Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable area
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Basic math skills with American money units
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand applicable rates based on time passed
  • Ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests warmly within five feet
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use appropriate salutations and welcome guests
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and safely
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open doors for guests and assist with directions, taxis and reservations
  • Provide information about local amenities and attractions
  • Deliver messages and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests as approved by location
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
  • Issue claim checks upon receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket and vehicle information accurately
  • Calculate and collect revenue for parking when needed
