Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or over with a high school diploma or equivalent
- food handler's permit required
- five or more years of experience as a sous chef with understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- ability to provide accurate and quick solutions when handling emergency situations
- general knowledge of various computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Point of Sale systems or restaurant management software
- history of responsible use of alcohol and appropriate conduct, fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies
- able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
- produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
- ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets quality standards
- fill in for the Chef de Cuisine in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
- resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule, and assess staff's performance
- maintain clean and orderly coolers, walk-ins, and dry storage areas
- comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
