Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules in English
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Capability to perform physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level
- Good vision including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Comfort using computers and handheld technology necessary for job functions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic proficiency with electronic devices and point-of-sale systems
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and adapt to changing priorities
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized shopping assistance
- Understand and meet daily sales goals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor
- Merchandise new arrivals and process damaged or returned merchandise
- Promote Macy's Loyalty program and other store promotions
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
- Collaborate with team members to support a positive and efficient work environment
