Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds for stock support or fulfillment roles
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
Strong communication skills
Customer service orientation
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Job Qualifications

Clear effective communication with strong interpersonal skills
Accountability initiative and a high level of ownership
Organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Experience working in retail or customer service is preferred but not required
Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
Ability to use technology effectively in a store environment

Job Duties

Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers and taking them to fitting rooms then sorting and returning clothing to the floor
Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as Nordstrom Rewards program
Keep stockrooms organized and complete all inventory processes making sure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
Work with the team to ensure the sales floor stays runway ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
Assist customers with a variety of transactions through a seamless and friendly experience
Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
Defuse customer situations and provide resolutions in a timely and effective manner
Receive unload freight unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
Prepare and ship customer orders following quality packing and shipping standards
Utilize inventory management systems to scan process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes
Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
Provide general support to the store such as setting up special events organizing backroom markdowns and relocating store fixtures
