Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 4 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience tending bar in a high volume environment
- Fluent in spoken and written English
Job Qualifications
- Previous luxury hotel or resort experience preferred
- Working knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine and beer
- Previous customer service experience required
- Previous food and beverage or barista experience preferred
- Previous point of sale system experience preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable with minimal supervision ability
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and independently
- Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous
- Previous experience preparing cocktails or serving in a luxury environment preferred
- Must have previous experience tending bar in a high volume environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Multi-lingual skills beneficial
- Basic math skills
- Excellent communication and listening skills
Job Duties
- Offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Uphold Fairmont Century Plaza values and mission statement while performing duties
- Adhere to company policy and procedures
- Interact with guests to exceed their expectations
- Prepare beverages following Accor and Fairmont recipes and guidelines
- Greet guests and escort them to lounge chairs
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails and deliver food and drink orders
- Oversee cleanliness and daily upkeep of pool area and bar
- Control bar costs and waste while complying with liquor laws
- Maintain personal and financial accountability
- Complete closing paperwork thoroughly
- Maintain knowledge of menu and food preparation techniques
- Assist coworkers and managers proactively
- Familiarize with food outlets, amenities, and hotel services
- Be knowledgeable of city information and hotel history
- Serve as an ambassador for the department, property, and brand
- Perform other duties as assigned
