Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- basic reading and math skills
- effective communication skills in primary guest languages
- ability to perform manual tasks and follow detailed instructions
- availability during June through August
- willingness to work in a camp environment
- ability to work full-time for the duration of the season
Job Qualifications
- high school graduate or equivalent preferred
- basic reading and math skills
- ability to communicate and understand primary languages used by guests
- previous food service experience is a plus
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is beneficial
Job Duties
- sets up food service, kitchen, or salad area facilities, equipment, and utensils
- checks food temperatures and prepares areas for operations
- operates cooking or bakery equipment as assigned
- prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold meals and beverages
- serves food items to campers and staff ensuring appropriate portions
- replenishes food, condiments, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays
- cleans and maintains work areas including floors, facilities, dishes, utensils, and equipment
- collects and places garbage in designated containers
- washes pots, pans, and other serviceware ensuring sanitary handling
- performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
