Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 12 or more months of commercial driving experience
  • valid CDL-A license
  • minimum 21 years of age
  • meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
  • pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • pass road test
  • valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one
  • able to hand-lift and use equipment to move and stack product cases and freight

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • report all safety issues and repairs needed
  • follow all DOT regulations and company driving policies
  • inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • perform count check of items and verify customer invoices
  • complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
  • move tractor to loading dock and attach trailers as needed
  • drive and deliver customer orders according to route schedule
  • unload products and transport items into customer storage areas
  • perform damage control checks on items and communicate with supervisor
  • verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • collect money when required
  • load customer returns onto trailer and secure doors
  • ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
  • unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
  • complete daily records and log hours of service
  • keep tractor, loading dock, and trailers clean and secure
  • perform other related duties as assigned
