Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum four years of relevant cooking experience
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a food service environment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain schedule
- Open availability preferred for varying shifts
- Commitment to workplace safety and food quality standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
Job Qualifications
- Four or more years of related cooking experience
- Proven ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to prepare diverse menu items for various meal periods
- Team-oriented and adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items accurately and efficiently
- Supervise Service Contract Act (SCA) Cook II employees and possibly other lower-level staff
- Attend work and start scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Minimize food waste through efficient preparation and portioning
- Adapt to varying shifts and accommodate client needs and special events
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business and client requirements
