Job Requirements
- commercial driver’s license required or ability to obtain commercial class b license with tanker endorsement within 120 days
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor including lifting between 20 to 100 pounds
- willingness to follow safety protocols and operational procedures
- no required educational diploma
- over one year and up to two years of relevant work experience
- capability to read technical instructions and reports
- ability to make frequent decisions under routine pressure
- physical capability for walking, standing, stooping, digging, and lifting
- ability to handle vehicles safely in urban traffic conditions
Job Qualifications
- commercial class b driver’s license or ability to obtain within required timeline
- experience operating heavy machinery or sanitation equipment preferred
- ability to perform medium to heavy physical work
- basic reading and comprehension skills to follow safety and operational instructions
- good communication skills for traffic direction and teamwork
- ability to work reliably and follow assigned schedules
- knowledge of sanitary and safety standards
Job Duties
- operating sanitation trucks and vehicles to collect and deposit trash and debris
- changing out and replacing waste containers
- picking up loose trash and materials
- maintaining grounds areas and cleaning dirty containers
- working on trim crews performing maintenance tasks
- directing dumping and transfer station traffic to ensure safety and efficiency
- completing related sanitation and maintenance tasks as assigned
